Growing Market

The government has now pledged another £40bn a year by 2007-8. This can only mean one thing, recruitment and pay will be top of the agenda in the nursing market. Chris Carter of Nurselink said, "...this represents a significant growth in the market for agency nursing. New Nursing Agency software now available

Link 24 7 have recently released their new version of Nurselink. This new software promises to help agencies reduce the time take on administration and processing of bookings. Whilst agencies pay a small fee to subscribe to the system, healthcare organisations can subscribe to the service free of charge.

The recent RCN conference found the government on a back foot with Beverly Malone the head of the RCn demanding nurses' pay should be increases in line with the huge increase provided for in the budget.
