NHS Professionals and Nurse Banks

NHS professionals has been designed to work in conjunction with Nurse banks although direct links have yet to be set in stone. The use of the Internet may be one such solution. Wards should be able to enter their requirements via an Internet screen and NHS professionals could automatically show which staff they have available.

Can you still run an internal nurse bank?

Running a bank at a local level is seen as crucial for many hospitals and software packages are available to allow banks to either continue to operate or to set up their own operations for a number of hospitals. This is conditional upon the fact that they conform to the regulations set down by NHS professionals.

What about other medical staff?

The Department of health and Purchasing and Supplies authority are already considering ways to consolidate their purchasing of allied healthcare professionals and non medical personnel.
